Internet access in Hong Kong

It is not easy to find internet cafe in some parts of HK.  You can find a list in www.jiwire.com.  Still, you may face problems like you dont have an account, or there are internet access but the venue do not allow you plug in your laptop power.  To Hong Kong people, they do not like you to hog the business space.

But there are some cafes that provide computers that has internet access.  You can use them to check your email.  You're given a few minutes to use only, unless there are no other patrons waiting to use them too.  Another place that has this facility is the public libraries.

If you have your laptop and you are near Mongkok, you can visit the Mongkok Computer Centre.  There is a wifi lounge.  The access is free and there are a few refreshment vending machines to buy your snacks or drinks.  This cool lounge is provided by the Mongkok Computer Centre management.

Hong Kong International Airport Terminal 2

Terminal 2 is just next to Terminal 1.  They are just next to each other, walking distance.  If you fly in to HK, you may be advised to use Terminal 2 when you depart.  However take note that for Arrivals, all arrivals are in Terminal 1's arrival hall.  So dont ask the people to pick you up from Terminal 2!
